Responsibilities
include diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance, repairing equipment to minimize downtime, and ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently. Team members must be able to read and write, possess basic math skills, and communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members.
The position requires flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and additional hours as needed. Candidates must maintain good attendance and be able to perform the physical
requirements
of the job, including frequent use of hands, legs, and feet; bending, twisting, turning, kneeling, and working in various positions while servicing equipment. Team members must also be able to walk and stand for extended periods throughout the duration of their shift.

Job Details
Pay is $26.20 per hour PLUS an additional $2.00 per hour shift differential.

Must be able to understand labels, read recipes, follow instructions, and communicate effectively.
Motor Vehicle Requirement (18 years of age, valid state driver's license, and no DUI/DWI’s within the last 12 months).OFFICAL MVR RECORD must be checked POST-OFFER and RECEIVED by Tyson before applicant will be moved into position.
MUST HAVE 6 MONTHS WORK HISTORY in the last 12 months documented within your application’s work history and/or resume. Can be a combination of employers as long as it is within the past 12 months or your application will not be reviewed.
REHIRES ARE SUBJECT TO A 91 DAY WAIT PERIOD, determined from their last date of employment, to apply for FRESH PLANT.
CANDIDATES THAT HAVE WORKED FOR TYSON FOODS OR TYSON AFFILIATES 3 OR MORE TIMES WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR REHIRE.

Automotive/Diesel Mechanic
This position is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a variety of equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, fire fans, automobiles, and diesel trucks. The Automotive/Diesel Mechanic must possess knowledge of vehicle and equipment repair, including rebuilding transmissions, rear ends, engines, and performing all facets of automotive and diesel maintenance.
