Essential Duties
- ◆Supervise all maintenance and capital projects at the Yadkinville Plant.
- ◆Staff, schedule the maintenance department as appropriate, and ensure its effectiveness through training.
- ◆Maintain a positive labor relations environment with subordinate personnel.
- ◆Analyze production processes and methods.
- ◆Recommend and implement changes and new programs that improve costs.
- ◆Provide monthly summaries to the management of maintenance performance and capital project updates.
- ◆Maintain a cost-effective preventive maintenance program.
- ◆Ensure compliance with all safety and Good Manufacturing Practice policies and procedures in areas of own responsibility.
- ◆Provide ongoing training and enforcement as appropriate.
- ◆Responsible for reporting any food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
- ◆Enforce GMP rules and guidelines.
- ◆Identify and communicate food safety issues; lead and influence food safety initiatives.
Minimum Experience
- ✓Total Yrs. of Experience: 5 to 7 years.
- ✓Six years of experience in engineering and maintenance, including four years of supervisory experience.
- ✓Experience in consumer food products and food packaging. Apprenticeship in one of more maintenance areas.
- ✓Functional experience in the use of Word and Excel.
- ✓Working knowledge of JD Edwards is a plus.
- ✓Minimum Formal Education: Associate Degree.
