Nature and scope

Production support function with site-wide spinning impact. Tooling is a support function for the spinning operations team; however, tooling readiness directly impacts spinning line uptime, changeover speed, and fiber quality across all spinning areas. When tooling is not in a ready-state condition, production stops.

24/7 shift coverage. The Tooling Supervisor manages tooling technicians across Yellow, Blue, and Night shifts to provide continuous tooling support to match the 24-hour spinning production cycle. The incumbent must coordinate work assignments, maintenance scheduling, and tooling priorities across all shifts.

Technical specialization. The role requires deep knowledge of spinning tooling systems (winders, jets, pumps) and the maintenance, calibration, and cleaning processes that keep them operational. The incumbent is responsible for sustaining a maintenance program, driving toward reliability excellence, aiding in tool design and process improvement, and developing quick-change options for production changeovers.

Cross-functional interface. The role requires interfacing with spinning operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure tooling availability aligns with production schedules and priorities. The supervisor attends engineering and management meetings and provides necessary input and guidance on tooling readiness, reliability, and improvement opportunities.
