What You’ll Do (Essential Duties and Responsibilities)

◆Application of analytical tools to drive improvement in foam quality and continually achieve variation reduction.
◆Perform internal scrap cost analysis and drive scrap cost reduction projects.
◆Support Quality Technicians with addressing production issues and improvement opportunities via problem solving techniques.
◆Participate in New product/process development, qualification, and establishment of “Safe Launch” Plans.
◆Track, Report, and drive improvement in direct material suppliers to improve incoming quality performance.
◆Performs product inspection and audits products and/or systems for conformance to standard.
◆Performs weekly CTQ audit and reporting to drive continual improvement.
◆Facilitate best practices benchmarking between TPVA, TPNM, TPIN and other facilities.
◆Assists in problem investigation and resolution.
◆Periodically support the laboratory including, performing laboratory tests, and/or experiments following established procedures or protocols while operating requisite laboratory equipment and instruments; records data; maintains and makes minor adjustments to equipment.

What You’ll Need (Qualifications)

✓Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 1-2 years directly related experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
✓Business acumen, will act as business partner to Operations
✓Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
✓Advanced knowledge of PC usage required to include using the Microsoft Office Suite.
✓Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
✓Demonstrated experience in 5S, Lean and Six Sigma principles. Green Belt preferred, or ability to obtain within the first year of employment.
✓Minitab or JMP experience preferred.
