- ✓Approximately three to five years of manufacturing maintenance experience
- ✓High school diploma, Technical school certificate or equivalent work experience
- ✓Ability to read and write to follow maintenance requests; understand and follow written and verbal instructions when receiving and processing requisitions, maintain simple records of items repaired, as well as other routine equipment history.
- ✓Analytical skills necessary to evaluate machine/equipment functions.
- ✓Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when diagnosing, inspecting, and checking accuracy of repairs.
- ✓Ability to use electrical testing equipment.
- ✓Ability to interact with members of management, using strong interpersonal skills.
- ✓Ability to become authorized in Lockout/Tag out within probationary period.
- ✓Obtain a Hilo license within the probationary period.
- ✓Ability to operate Tool Room equipment. Grinder, Bridgeport, Welder, etc.

What You’ll Do
As a Senior Maintenance employee, you’ll be part of our Metals Plant team located in Chesterfield, MI. You’ll get to:
- •Disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery and equipment using manual and power tools, as well as general tool room equipment such as lathes, mills, and grinders; in doing so, climb, kneel, stand, sit, and crouch while handling items of various sizes, shapes, and weights.
- •Troubleshoot equipment issues by reading electrical and hydraulic schematics and using electrical testing equipment.
- •Perform a variety of building, machinery, and equipment repairs, installations, and modifications requiring hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and electrical skills.
- •Maintain departmental files of work orders, maintenance requisitions, preventive maintenance histories, and other related records.
- •Obtain materials and supplies from local distributors, warehouses, or merchants.
- •Place orders for repair parts or materials using the telephone, computer terminal, or written correspondence.
- •Lead and direct other maintenance personnel.
