Manufacturing Engineer Manager

This position typically has direct supervision of between ten to fifteen engineering support staff, provides day-to-day work direction, and conducts formal performance evaluations. You will assign manufacturing engineering resources to effectively deliver projects within Excellerate, lead and direct maintenance and tooling for all Excellerate locations, and manage the CAPEX process for Excellerate. You will prepare proposals and cost estimates for engineering, modeling, detailing and CAD-related services and provide engineering support of all projects, supporting the Operations Engineering team.

You'll also work with production personnel to identify and correct safety issues, develop and maintain facility layouts using Auto. CAD, justify and procure capital equipment and tooling, and coordinate facility and equipment preventive maintenance programs. Conferring with internal and external customers to discuss existing or potential construction and product/manufacturing projects is part of the role, as is supporting manufacturing with designing jigs or fixtures needed for production.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering. Experience: Five or more years of related Industrial Engineering experience and prior exposure managing a team, completing multi-variable work measurements and developing labor standards, process improvement initiatives, and network optimization projects within a distribution center environment.
