Essential functions of the job

  • ◆Plan, organize and direct the manufacturing operation to ensure the obtainment of production schedules Plan and schedule personnel in cooperation with the Production Manager (i.e. vacation, temporary workers, overtime work).
  • ◆Provide production expectations and quality feedback to team members in daily start up meeting.
  • ◆Monitor daily established production

  • ✓Train and monitor employee performance to ensure operator is certified and operator training matrix is updated and meeting departmental targets.
  • ✓Compile KPI data and populate end of shift report. Distribute to manager and appropriate operations and support personnel.
  • ✓Ensure job training and daily job rotations are in place and enforced.
  • ✓Ensure compliance of team member handbook, safety guidelines, all rules, programs, and procedures that pertain to production team members.
  • ✓Monitor quality of product throughout the production process.
  • ✓Participates in Team Leader meetings and Quality initiatives.
  • ✓Daily review of process and people to identify and implement CI opportunities.

Required Education

  • ✓High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • ✓*Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.

Required qualifications

  • ✓3-5 Minimum Years of Experience with Production.
  • ✓1-3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
  • ✓Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
  • ✓Computer literacy.
  • ✓Proficient organizational skills.
  • ✓Excellent oral communication skills.

The Supervisor Production is responsible for directing all activities within the assigned area of Seating production. Ensures the on-time production of quality products while handling the daily supervision of the departmental personnel.
