Job description
When you work at Trex, you’re helping to grow and enhance a true original. You join a company that boldly launched an entire industry… and still leads the way.
The Creative Operations Manager owns the end-to-end production and delivery of Trex marketing content and assets. This includes photography, video, print production, marketing literature, and Digital Asset Management (DAM), as well as the project leadership required to bring those interconnected workstreams together for new product launches and other priority marketing initiatives. The role ensures the right content is planned, produced, approved, organized, and delivered on time, within budget, and to Trex brand and quality standards.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Brand Marketing, this position is both a production owner and the central organizer behind complex marketing execution. The role works across Marketing, Product, Sales, Digital, Retail, agency partners, and external vendors to establish clear plans, manage dependencies, resolve roadblocks, and ensure every required asset and material moves successfully from brief through final delivery and ongoing management.
Creative Production & Asset Creation
- •Own end-to-end photography and video production, from scoping and bidding through scheduling, talent and location coordination, travel, props, releases, on-set execution, post-production, approvals, and final delivery.
- •Partner with the Creative Manager and Brand Leads to translate creative strategy into production plans, shot lists, schedules, deliverables, and resourcing needs.
- •Coordinate photographers, directors, editors, freelancers, agencies, and other creative partners to deliver high-quality work against the approved brief, budget, timeline, and brand standards.
- •Oversee asset selection, review, routing, retouching and editing needs, version control, usage rights, and final delivery for digital, social, retail, e-commerce, sales, and other marketing channels.
- •Maintain production standards and quality-control checkpoints to ensure content is accurate, complete, and ready for use.
Marketing Literature & Print Production
- •Own marketing literature and print production workflows, including project intake, proofreading, quality control, final-file readiness, printer handoff, vendor coordination, inventory considerations, and delivery to required locations.
- •Manage print and production partners, estimates, schedules, and final outputs to ensure quality, cost effectiveness, and on-time delivery.
Digital Asset Management & Content Operations
- •Own and optimize Trex's DAM platform and content library, including asset organization, taxonomy, metadata, governance, usage rights, version control, archival processes, and user access.
- •Ensure approved creative assets are properly cataloged, searchable, current, accessible, and distributed to the teams and channels that need them.
- •Manage DAM resources and external partners while supporting user training, governance standards, adoption, and workflow improvements.
- •Build repeatable content intake, approval, handoff, and delivery processes that improve visibility, reduce rework, and increase speed and consistency.
Integrated Project & Launch Management
- •Lead multiple concurrent production and content initiatives, ensuring photography, video, literature, print, digital assets, and DAM deliverables come together as one coordinated body of work.
- •Serve as the primary project lead across Marketing, Product, Sales, Digital, Retail, agency partners, and vendors for new product launches and other priority marketing initiatives.
- •Translate approved briefs and business priorities into integrated project plans, timelines, resource schedules, budgets, deliverable lists, dependencies, and approval milestones.
- •Lead project kickoffs, status meetings, stakeholder reviews, and decision tracking to maintain alignment, accountability, and clear ownership.
- •Identify and resolve project risks, bottlenecks, scope changes, and stakeholder alignment issues; escalate decisions when needed to protect timing, budget, quality, and deliverables.
- •Monitor budgets, vendor estimates, purchase requirements, and production costs, maintaining financial discipline and transparency throughout the work.
