Essential Functions

  • ◆Communicate verbally with co-workers to keep a safe working environment
  • ◆Follow written and verbal instructions to complete tasks
  • ◆Works with customers and addresses requests and change orders.
  • ◆Orders special parts and inventory
  • ◆Creates graphics and materials for applications
  • ◆May design less complex graphic
  • ◆Cuts out, outlines and prepares materials, graphics or pieces for application.
  • ◆Sets up, operates, and maintains various forms of graphics equipment and tools, such as printing and measurement.
  • ◆Measure and tape up truck for applications
  • ◆Apply measurement for proper alignment and attachment graphic applications.
  • ◆Read and interpret blue prints
  • ◆Check and review check lists, work orders, and schedules
  • ◆Monitors the inventory of equipment, parts, materials, and related items and notifies appropriate personnel of completes paperwork as required
  • ◆Sweep and clean shop area
  • ◆Work required hours and have an excellent attendance record
  • ◆Work overtime as needed
  • ◆Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Basic

Qualifications

  • ✓Four or more years of experience with application of graphics or comparable experience

to complete Essential Functions

  • ◆High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • ◆Graphics or artistic training is preferred
  • ◆Previous experience as a Pierce team member or contractor

  • ◆Maintain balance when climbing on a portable step, ladders, and trucks
  • ◆Individually lift and manipulate parts/equipment weighing up to 35 pounds
  • ◆Tolerate constant standing while performing tasks along with occasional awkward positions to complete the tasks
  • ◆Have good hand eye coordination
  • ◆Use both hands for tool operation and application of graphics

Shift Overview

  • •Openings on all shifts with a majority of positions on 2nd shift
  • •Shift times and overtime hours vary dependent on position, department, and location
  • •2nd shift: Monday – Thursday, four 10 hour days, overtime worked at the end of shift and on Friday’s with occasional Saturdays

The positions within Graphics Production Technician are responsible for designing artwork and graphics. The employee works with customers and addresses requests and change orders.
