Maintenance Mechanic B - 1st Shift

• ◆Assist with diagnosing, tearing down, and repairing problems or equipment on plant systems
• ◆Work from drawings, plans or sketches, fabricating equipment, fixtures, devices, etc. as required
• ◆Utilize test equipment, instruments, measuring devices and controls, hand and power tools, and material handling equipment
• ◆Assist in maintaining workflow of maintenance work requests.
• ◆Track progress of work orders, work to close work requests in a timely manner
• ◆Maintain clean and safe work areas throughout the facility
• ◆Operates lifting devices as trained by Materion Safety

• ✓1+ years of mechanic experience within an industrial maintenance environment preferred
• ✓High school diploma or equivalent
• ✓Formal technical training is preferred but not required
• ✓Experience in a metals industrial setting preferred but not required
• ✓Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• ✓Basic understanding of brakes and clutches
• ✓Basic understanding of working with plumbing, plastic, copper and/or black iron
• ✓Basic understanding with welding/fabrication, pneumatics, and hydraulics
• ✓Basic understanding regarding machining skills to include lathe, milling, hand tools, and grinders
• ✓Ability to perform basic carpentry
• ✓Ability to perform stick, mig, and tig welding
• ✓Ability to work with a team with an organized and methodical approach

$27.30 - $39.30 Hourly*
