A Day In The Life

• ✓Setting and maintaining priorities, vision, and leadership.
• ✓Providing technical assistance & trouble shooting support to Materials, Quality, Engineering, Finance, Maintenance, Field Service, Shipping, and the Distribution Center.
• ✓Recommending raw material or component part substitutions and alternative methods of manufacturing.
• ✓Ensuring that cross training and continuing education is maintained for key salary and hourly personnel.
• ✓Identifying and initiating manufacturing improvements. Supporting engineering with cost reduction initiatives.
• ✓Providing manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
• ✓Approving timecards on a weekly basis for hourly and salaried employees.
• ✓Maintaining working relationships with the union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
• ✓Assisting Human Resources in resolving personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.

What will help you thrive in this role?

• ✓Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Preferred)
• ✓10-15 years of relevant experience (required)
• ✓10 years of leadership experience preferred
• ✓Prior experience in Maintenance & TPM implementation preferred
• ✓Working knowledge of at least one of the following processes/equipment is (required)
• ✓Lighting fixture manufacturing
• ✓Manual or automated assembly
• ✓Progressive dies or metal stamping
• ✓Metal fabrication (turret presses/brake presses)
• ✓Powder Coating/wet paint operation
• ✓Working knowledge of SAP preferred
• ✓Training and experience implementing LEAN manufacturing preferred
• ✓Demonstrated skill to read and understand basic component part drawings
• ✓Demonstrated skill to read and understand basic manufacturing routers
• ✓Demonstrated skill to read and understand basic bills of material, manufacturing work instructions
• ✓Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
