Key Responsibilities

◆Monitor the quality of and improve manufacturing methods from raw material receipt to customer delivery to ensure all customer

requirements

are met

✓Lead the proper operation of reactor systems to ensure compliance with established safety standards, customer requirements, and automotive quality standards
✓Lead the scale-up of new products and assure quality systems are in place for process changes to existing products
✓Use Lean methodologies to find opportunities, recommend solutions, and implement corrective actions to help meet plant safety, cost, and productivity goals
✓Develop complete and accurate production logs that ensure safe procedures for producing quality products
✓Complete daily technical review of production batches
✓Support the development and presentation of training programs for operators and other department personnel

Qualifications

✓Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering required
✓3+ years experience in chemical manufacturing preferred
✓Understanding of polymer/organic chemistry
✓Basic knowledge of chemical plant unit operations (batch reactors, heat transfer, process control, etc.) and chemical plant equipment operations (pumps, piping, tanks, heat exchangers, etc.)

As a Chemical Process Engineer, you will be the technical lead for assigned reactor systems. This is an onsite position at PPG’s Circleville, Ohio facility and reports to the Process Engineering Manager.
