Process Engineer — Wastewater Treatment Design - US-Based | Fully Remote
We're partnered with a water and wastewater consultancy hiring a Process Engineer to lead treatment process design on municipal and industrial projects, fully remote. This is a specialist process seat; mass balances, biological modeling, aeration and solids handling. It is not a general civil role with a process label on it.
Suited to someone around five years in who wants to go deeper on process rather than broader on delivery.
What you'll bring
- •5+ years of wastewater treatment process design in a consulting environment
- •EIT / PE license, or sitting within 12 months
- •Demonstrated BioWin or GPS-X modeling capability, this is a core requirement, not a nice-to-have
- •Strong grounding in activated sludge kinetics, SRT-based design, nutrient removal chemistry, and digester performance
- •Experience with effluent limits, permit compliance strategy, and state regulatory review
- •Comfortable owning technical scope independently and writing clearly for clients and reviewers
