Key Responsibilities
Direct supervision of daily operations, including staffing, quality control, safety
requirements
and prevention, and schedule adherence.
- ✓Lead by example to achieve safety, quality, service, cost and production targets, while identifying and suggesting improvements.
- ✓Hold the team accountable to procedures, expectations and conduct standards through recognition and respectful correction.
- ✓Enable process improvements using safety and continuous improvement techniques.
- ✓Mentor Lead Operators for escalations and workload management.
- ✓Ensure strong employee relations through professional engagement and consistent floor visibility.
- ✓Conduct administrative tasks including shift reporting and audits, time and attendance, safety, employee relations and performance activities.
- ✓Manage training, qualification, proficiency and performance across the team.
- ✓Build an excellent team environment through pre-shift meetings and employee voice.
- ✓Promote company programs including Shared Success, 5S, safety audits, training and the employee value proposition.
- ✓Monitor and drive KPIs including productivity, scrap, labor utilization, on-time delivery, OEE, complaints, TRIR and OSHA performance.
Requirements
- ✓High school diploma required; higher education or certification is desired.
- ✓Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in 24/7 plant operations.
- ✓Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
- ✓Proven track record of leading, training, and coaching direct reports.
- ✓Technical and mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills.
- ✓Excellent multitasking abilities with a focus on prioritization.
- ✓Results-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- ✓Experience with lean, Kaizen, safety and OSHA practices.
- ✓Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP or SAP experience is a plus.
- ✓Strong manufacturing experience focused on safety, quality, cost, productivity and delivery.
- ✓Physical
requirements
include working in plants, warehouse and office environments; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; exposure to weather and noise; and use of required PPE.
