Job Summary

Reporting to the Head of Content, the Post-Production Supervisor owns FCP Euro’s post-production operation end to end, leading the camera-to-delivery pipeline, internal editing staff, external vendor workflows, and media infrastructure. You will act as the single technical authority for how video moves through ingest, proxy creation, playback, DAM/MAM cataloging, and final delivery. Collaborating closely with Creative, Production, and IT leadership, you will replace informal workarounds with scalable processes that ensure consistent delivery and long-term capacity.

and Duties

Pipeline Architecture & Delivery Operations: Direct the end-to-end editorial pipeline to guarantee reliable timelines and smooth playback across all media initiatives.

  • ◆Own the camera-to-edit workflow across all content verticals, encompassing offloading, proxy generation, review cycles, and final delivery.
  • ◆Establish and maintain standard operating procedures for both high-performance on-site and secure remote-desktop editing setups.
  • ◆Troubleshoot playback, format, and software issues directly, reducing IT dependency and eliminating missed project deadlines.

Team & External Vendor Management: Lead internal editors and oversee external post partners to maintain quality and production velocity.

  • ◆Manage, mentor, and hire internal editing staff while balancing project bandwidth against production goals.
  • ◆Direct relationships with freelance editors and offshore post vendors, overseeing contracts, schedules, and quality assurance.
  • ◆Replace physical hard-drive handoffs with automated, same-day cloud proxy sharing for all remote collaborators.

MAM/DAM & Media Governance: Centralize asset discovery, archiving, and taxonomy across the enterprise.

  • ◆Lead the evaluation, procurement, and deployment of the content team’s MAM system and support enterprise DAM integration.
  • ◆Define metadata schemas, folder hierarchies, version control standards, and AI-assisted tagging to make media instantly searchable.
  • ◆Enforce archival policies across local shared storage, cloud repositories, and long-term tape/cold storage tiers.

Infrastructure & Strategic Planning: Partner with cross-functional leadership to align media technology with business volume.

  • ◆Partner with IT on network throughput, NAS/SAN shared storage, workstation configurations, and media security.
  • ◆Audit post-production workflows and storage demands to build a prioritized technical roadmap with clear cost and capacity projections.
  • ◆Track and report key metrics—including turnaround times, workflow interruptions, and throughput—to the Head of Content.

Requirements

  • ✓5+ years in video post-production, including 3+ years supervising editors or leading post workflows for a studio, agency, or high-volume content brand.
  • ✓Advanced mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro and practical working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve color workflows on high-resolution camera files.
  • ✓Demonstrated experience creating proxy-based pipelines and remote-desktop workflows for distributed teams.
  • ✓Strong command of professional camera formats (e.g., R3D, N-RAW, HEVC), transcoding pipelines, and checksum verification tools.
  • ✓Hands-on experience implementing or administering a MAM/DAM platform, including metadata taxonomy and search tagging.
  • ✓Solid working knowledge of shared storage architectures, media networking, and tiered archiving strategies.
  • ✓Experience directing freelance editors and third-party or offshore post-production partners.
  • ✓Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media, Video Production, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ✓Prior experience within eCommerce, digital retail, or the automotive media industry.
  • ✓Relevant certifications in media asset management, system administration, or post-production software suites.
  • ✓Proven success collaborating directly with corporate IT departments on technical media infrastructure.
