Responsibilities
- ◆Follow IMS guidelines, safety protocols, and mandatory procedures to ensure compliance and safeguard the environment and personnel.
- ◆Perform routine service, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs on industrial machinery, mechanical equipment, and plant infrastructure.
- ◆Conduct minor periodic maintenance and repairs on plant instrumentation and electrical systems to ensure operational reliability.
- ◆Apply advanced mechanical and precision maintenance techniques to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install equipment, including rotating and reciprocating machinery.
- ◆Respond to emergency call-ins to troubleshoot and repair instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical equipment issues promptly.
- ◆Safely operate forklifts, hand tools, power tools, and test equipment for maintenance tasks.
- ◆Perform non-code welding and fabricate special parts as required to support plant operations.
- ◆Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, P&IDs, and other specifications to execute maintenance tasks effectively.
- ◆Keep work areas organized and maintain inventory of spare parts and materials.
- ◆Work effectively in teams, acquire technical skills, and develop knowledge of production processes and policies.
Requirements
- ✓High School Diploma or GED required.
- ✓Technical certification or vocational training in mechanical maintenance or a related field (preferred).
- ✓Strong mechanical skills, including knowledge of rotating and reciprocating equipment.
- ✓Able to use a multi-meter.
- ✓Basic knowledge of instrumentation, electrical systems, and non-code welding.
- ✓Strong organizational, computer, and communication skills (SAP preferred).
- ✓Ability to work overtime and participate in on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays.
- ✓3+ years as a Maintenance Mechanic in a chemical plant or refinery or industrial settings (3-5 years preferred).
- ✓Hands-on experience with precision maintenance techniques and emergency repairs.
