Responsibilities
Injection molding process knowledge - i.e. pressures, velocity, melt, fill time, ejector bars, etc. Start and stop of injection molding equipment. Install/remove molds, trim dies, grinders, and other auxiliary equipment to make plastic parts. Troubleshoot, correct, repair, and optimize injection molding machines, robots (move/initialize), trim dies and all support equipment for molding operations (thermolators, loader system, grinders, conveyors, etc). The individual will respond to various equipment conditions, analyze the situation for root cause, and apply the appropriate skill to resolve the issue. Operate fork truck to complete tasks such as pulling and setting molds, changing trim dies, etc. Read, record, and monitor instructions, formulas, and processing graphs of machine operational data. Occasionally assist with preventative maintenance on molds and equipment. General duties: Demonstrate and promote safe work practices and standards consistent with all OSHA and Energizer internal safety policies and procedures including lock out tag out (LOTO) Interact and assist colleagues to help them with molding problems. Respectful communication with colleagues and management. Interact with vendors and service technicians occasionally. Maintain housekeeping Support Safety, Quality, and Cost Other duties as required.
