Reliability Technician - Knoxville, TN

The Opportunity
- •Maintain and repair plant equipment to keep it operating safely and efficiently.
- •Install new and upgraded equipment as needed.
- •Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize machine downtime and maintain production.
- •Perform preventive and operational maintenance to ensure a functional and safe work environment.
- •Assist with inventory to identify replacement and new parts needed to prevent equipment breakdowns.
- •Assess upset conditions and take appropriate action to safely correct them.
How You Will Impact Smurfit Westrock
- •Execute job duties in a safe and efficient manner.
- •Follow all safety policies, procedures, and expectations.
- •Work with the production and maintenance teams to maintain production and achieve quality products.
- •Ensure compliance with food safety and quality requirements, including SQF, HACCP, GMP, and ISO regulations.
- •Report issues or events that may pose a risk to employee safety, the environment, facilities, or food packaging safety and quality.
- •Help create and maintain a strong safety culture.
- •Maintain work areas in accordance with all 5S requirements.
- •Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- •Participate in continuous improvement activities, corrective actions, plant/corporate safety events, and training.
- •Perform other related duties as assigned.
