What you'll do
- ◆Own and execute new product introduction (NPI) rework builds across all relevant work centers, delivering qualified processes on aggressive timelines.
- ◆Establish the framework for reliable PCBA rework and repair.
- ◆Lead triage of non-conforming PCBAs, drive root-cause resolution, and implement preventative actions with Supplier Development Engineers.
- ◆Own resolution of production rework issues while safeguarding design integrity, product quality, and delivery timelines.
- ◆Identify, prioritize, and deliver continuous improvement projects that improve rework yield, performance, and time.
Required qualifications
- ✓High school diploma or equivalency certificate and 5+ years of professional experience with SMT and/or PCBA rework equipment and processes.
- ✓IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and/or IPC-7711/7721 (rework/repair) certification.
Preferred qualifications
- ✓Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
- ✓4+ years of hands-on experience owning SMT rework equipment operation and process control in a high-volume production setting.
- ✓Proven experience implementing Design for Manufacturability (DFM) specifically for complex SMT assemblies.
- ✓Ability to create and deliver technical presentations for rework process readiness, design reviews, and manufacturing readiness reviews.
- ✓Experience leading the transition of SMT rework processes from design/NPI to volume manufacturing as part of cross-functional teams in fast-paced iterative environments.
