Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Technician – Day Shift to join our team located onsite in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
Be the expert who keeps everything moving. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll use your mechanical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose, repair, and maintain the equipment that powers our operation. From motors and pneumatic systems to conveyors and production machinery, you'll tackle challenges that make a direct impact on productivity and performance.
You'll also be a champion for continuous improvement, helping identify opportunities to enhance equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency. We're looking for a dependable team player who brings a positive attitude, thrives in a hands-on environment, supports others, and takes pride in maintaining a safe workplace. If you enjoy solving complex problems and making a difference every day, this role is for you.
Salary: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour, starting wage varies based on your experience
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Work Hours if overtime is required: Will discuss further in interview, overtime may be at beginning or end of shift based on business needs and projects.

What Success Looks Like
- •Leads and promotes a culture of safety first.
- •Maintains, repairs, and modifies extruders, pullers, calibration tables, saws, etc.
- •Repairs or replaces defective parts.
- •Repairs and reconditions hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- •Facility and grounds maintenance.
- •Must be flexible with hours across all shifts to train and coach.

Your Credentials
- •High School education or equivalent required
- •Intermediate level of experience with electrical and mechanical applications, as well as experience with mechanical and hand tools for equipment repair.
- •3+ years industrial maintenance experience, required
- •3+ years of manufacturing experience, preferred
- •Excellent communication skills, computers/systems skills, and organization skills
