✓Work to drive quality improvement throughout the facility as well as coordinate and conduct audits and applicable training.
✓Lead process groups and work with all levels of the organization.
✓Participate in the long-term strategic planning for the department by collaborating with other departments to set quality goals that directly support the overall vision and strategy of the division.
✓Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment. Safety, quality, and integrity are integral to the Quality supervisor position.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Qualifications

✓4-year Degree or Equivalent Experience
✓Previous experience with Quality System(s)
✓Previous experience in a steel or manufacturing related industry
✓Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

✓Previous leadership experience.
✓Working knowledge of ISO 9001/ASTM Standards

Basic Job Functions

Nucor Steel-Hertford County is seeking a Quality Supervisor that will be responsible for:

•The implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of all quality and customer related certifications including, but not limited to, ISO 9001, ISO 17025, ABS, and Military.
•Serve as a resource to facilitate collaboration throughout the melt shop and rolling mills to ensure the best interest of Nucor is being met.
•Work cross-functionally with Sales and Operations to address customer specific
