Responsibilities

Develop concepts and detailed designs for mechanical mechanisms that manufacture, inspect and validate products using CAD software Design equipment that has multiple functions and stations that integrate PLCs, servos, motion controllers and actuators using CAD software Design mechanical components for equipment and machines using CAD software. Document components, equipment and machines using CAD programs in accordance with departmental and quality system procedures with the result being the production of machine, equipment and component drawings Design equipment and machines with another senior engineer or manager to support manufacturing Develop equipment in an organized manner by using project schedules, and spread sheets to manage component ordering and/or fabrication needed to assemble and program machine Document maintenance procedures for equipment and machines developed internally or purchased as assigned Debug, troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery in support of production, quality and design engineering groups Assemble, wire, program, install and debug equipment purchased or developed internally Document operating manuals, maintenance procedures for equipment and machines developed internally or purchased as assigned Provide guidance, mentoring and training for technicians
