Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance – regular inspections of oil, grease, clean and/or repair equipment. Ability to respond quickly to repair and fix equipment, get it up and running as quickly as possible. Order spare parts, replacement parts, and other materials with approval from the supervisor. Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts. Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines. Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies. Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary. Ability to work without direct supervision and in a team environment. Communicate with supervisor and ownership about ongoing issues and the ability to provide resolution. Collaborates with the product manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required. Makes necessary modifications and implements test runs; confers with the product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required. Overview For over 100 years, Maguire has been an industry leader in the fabrication, construction, and maintenance of water storage tanks and elevated water towers. The Maintenance Technician will safely perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting, including routine and preventive maintenance, on all plant facilities, equipment, and buildings.
