Turn a reply into a short call

Questions worth asking about this team:

    • What does a normal week look like on your team?

    • How did you land the job? What stood out in your interviews?
  4. 4

Apply with someone vouching for you

If the call went well, ask whether they’d pass your résumé to the hiring manager. Send your résumé link, apply that day, and let them know.

  5. 5

    Bring proof to the interview

One page of before-and-after numbers from projects you led: scrap, OEE, cycle time, cost. Plant managers hire on results.

Description

Provide needed quality documents and coordinate closely with welding and production teams. Perform first‐article inspections and approve parts for production; ask a supervisor for support on more complex tests. Help production staff with quality‐related questions and compare measurement results to ensure consistency. Stay aware of quality conditions in your assigned production areas and share any concerns with the supervisor. Spot quality issues early, work with teams to fix them, and stop production if defective parts might be produced.

Decide whether blocked parts can be released back into stock based on inspection results. Meet with customers during simple product/profile approvals, document any agreed‐upon changes, and keep supervisors informed. Share acceptance results quickly with production so manufacturing can begin smoothly. Prepare requests for testing exceptions and send them to the sales team. Stay up to date on testing and measurement tools used for our products. Log and investigate internal and external quality complaints.
