Production Supervisor

• ◆Ensure a safe workplac e . Lead by example and adhere to safety

in a scrap and slag yard environment. Always wear proper PPE and address any employee not adhering to PPE requirements.

• ✓Lead a production team and effectively manage each shift to maximize production and minimize costs.
• ✓Prepare daily reports and provide information to management as needed, including ensuring all inspections and operation checklists required to be completed by hourly employees are prepared and submitted appropriately .
• ✓Meet K P l's (Key Performance I ndicators) to meet or exceed efficiency and performance standards.
• ✓Control and coordination of mill service activi ties as delegated, including:
• ✓Scrap unloading and loading.
• ✓Scrap breaking, shearing and cutting (in conjunction with supervisor of the burning floor)
• ✓Rental work with personnel and equipment
• ✓Environmental services
• ✓MR Plant Operations
• ✓Scrap inspection
• ✓Timely rail services to the Customer.
• ✓Rail car repair
• ✓Ensure correct completion of all job-specific, employee-related paperwork including toolbox talks , daily activity sheet, timesheets and designated work permits.
• ✓Ensure employee compliance with standard operating procedures for all production operations.
• ✓Work safely at all times and ensure employees adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and

while performing their job duties.

• ✓Implement and drive continuous i mprovement.
• ✓Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including Environmenta l , Safety and Health guidelines and best practices, including mitigating risks associated with contractors and vendor insurance and indemnif i catio n .
• ✓Comply with cost savings initiatives , identify and recognize ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue, inc l uding treating any company expenses the same as you would if it was your own money .
• ✓Function as part of the management team and align with core values to meet company policies and goal s.
• ✓Establish and maintain qood housekeeping practices to eliminate hazards to employees.

• ✓5+ years of management experience in a heavy industrial service sector
• ✓Experience working in a unionized environment preferred
• ✓Bachelor's degree preferred

Ability to walk more than 1000 yards; stand for extended periods of time; ability to lift and carry no more than 50 l bs.; c l imb stairs and/or ladders; stooping; crawling; reaching; handling; pushing; pulling; twisting; kneeling; squatting; seeing; speaking; hearing; problem solving, discretion and independent judgment; regular and dependable attendance.

Working Conditions

Requires physical exertion with exposure to natural elements -- working i n scrap processing and production environment at an active steel mill.
