How to get in at this plant
Five moves over a week or two. The first one takes ten minutes.
- 1
Pick 2–3 people on the Manufacturing team at Diamond Foundry
Engineers who joined in the last year or two reply the most. Use the team search on this page to find them.
- 2
Send a short, curious note
One real question about their work. No favors yet. Each person gets a different note, written for this role.
- 3
Turn a reply into a short call
Questions worth asking about this team:
- What does a normal week look like on your team?
- Is the work mostly new product launches or sustaining existing lines?
- How much time do you spend on the floor versus at a desk?
- How did you land the job? What stood out in your interviews?
- 4
Apply with someone vouching for you
If the call went well, ask whether they’d pass your résumé to the hiring manager. Send your résumé link, apply that day, and let them know.
- 5
Bring proof to the interview
One page of before-and-after numbers from projects you led: scrap, OEE, cycle time, cost. Plant managers hire on results.

Diamond Foundry Inc. is solving the thermal limitation at the foundation of today's most exciting tech industries -- AI & cloud compute, electric-car power electronics, and 5G/6G wireless. We have managed to produce the world's first single-crystal diamond wafers and are now on a mission to put a diamond behind every chip. We are the rare unicorn that has grown fast and profitably. We received $515m in funding and are executing a multi-$B expansion plan for one of the greenest forms of tech manufacturing: converting greenhouse gas into diamond wafers using zero-emission energy.
Diamond Foundry is seeking an experienced Director of Application Engineering to lead how our single-crystal diamond is integrated into semiconductor devices, with a focus on advanced bonding and packaging. As the world’s leading producer of lab-grown diamond, we are growing our application engineering team to support semiconductor and AI chip customers who need better thermal performance. This role owns the technical bonding strategy and turns it into customer programs, roadmaps, and paths to production.
The ideal candidate is a recognized bonding and advanced packaging expert who can still go hands-on in the lab and can also present technical strategy, risks, and tradeoffs to executive leadership and customers. You can move a process from early prototype through qualification to high-volume manufacturing, and you can build a team that does the same.
