Safety and Quality Specialist II

• ◆Generate monthly safety meeting presentation from Air Liquide template
• ◆Own weekly near miss meeting and any safety champion calls/training
• ◆Plan and assign out JSAs, inspections and submarine drills.
• ◆Report SAS safety

• ✓Manage safety near misses and action items to closure
• ✓Maintain accurate and up to date JHAs and PPE matrix
• ✓Investigate any safety issues and manage action items to closure
• ✓Perform ergonomic assessments
• ✓Train new employees on both quality and safety culture
• ✓Train new hires on overall lab safety, evacuation routes, and how to report safety issues.
• ✓Manage and sustain 17025 accreditation
• ✓Manage SOPs and any training associated with changes to the SOPs
• ✓Trend data to ensure lab is reporting quality data and report against KPIs quarterly to customer
• ✓Trend BECs, LCS, Instrument tuning parameters, QC samples, etc.
• ✓Maintain lab databases and data templates
• ✓Provide support to LIMS administrator on any needed LIMS updates/fixes
• ✓Manage quality near misses and action items to closure
• ✓Investigate any quality issues or environmental change points, e.g. new hood qualifications, moving the pc between labs, etc.
• ✓Act as subject matter expert for safety and quality for all active projects
• ✓Perform support and training on spaghetti diagrams
• ✓Present status of safety and quality KPIs weekly to customer
• ✓Implement and validate database updates and revisions
• ✓Implement and validate data template updates and revisions

Are you a MATCH?

• ✓BS in Chemistry or equivalent combination of experience and education
• ✓8+ years of analytical lab experience
• ✓Experience with implementing, performing, and/or monitoring Laboratory QA/QC.
• ✓Must be knowledge of chemical analyses and processes.
• ✓Good computer skills required (scientific instrument software, Word, Excel)
• ✓Must be able to work in a team environment with good communication skills.
• ✓Must have initiative and be self-motivated.
• ✓Good organization skills.

• ✓5+ years experience with GC-MS, ICP-OES, GFAA, ICP-MS, Ion Chromatography, Auto-Titration, pH, Viscosity, Specific Gravity, and other Wet Methods sample analysis in a production environment
• ✓Experience with the 17025 standard and/or ISO 9001 standard in a quality role
• ✓Experience in the Semiconductor Industry.
• ✓Experience in the industrial gas industry
