Business excellence Assistant - 1
The experience we’re looking to add to our team
- ✓High School Diploma or equivalent
- ✓Ability to use the following tools: pipe cutters, drills, power saws, power tools, manual tools, lean and six sigma tools, etc.
- ✓Reading comprehension skills with the ability to interpret and follow written directions, blueprints, and engineering diagrams
- ✓Basic math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements
- ✓Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
- ✓Ability to effectively communicate with managers and employees of the organizations
- ✓Ability to complete office tasks: telephone skills, data entry, office software to include, word processing, spreadsheet and presentation

What a typical day looks like
- •Support lean and six sigma activities as defined in the GBE A3
- •Support in designing and building workstations, supermarket racks, benches, trolleys etc.
- •Familiar with and able to use Moonshine tools and machines effectively
- •Maintain catalogue of workstations
- •Ensure good 5S in the work area and implement identified best practices timely
- •Prepare and upload completed kaizen projects in the BE on-line Systems
- •Maintain and update various indicators on the lean gallery and other defined locations
- •Demonstrates advanced technical skills which may be used to conduct on-the-job training and/or lead/guide other employees
